Can I use the KVM right out of the box, and are cables included?

Yes, it is plug-and-play with no drivers required. We provides a Thunderbolt 4 cable, a DisplayPort 1.2 cable, an HDMI 2.0 cable and a USB A-B cable. Monitor HDMI cables are not included to reduce waste, as monitors typically come with cables.

Will the inactive laptop stop charging after I switch to my desktop?

No. This KVM switch keeps your laptop powered on PC1 port at 60W (20V/3A) even when switching to PC2. Note that high-power laptops (90–120W) may charge slower; in that case, use the original adapter for optimal performance.

Will switching between computers cause window resets or resolution issues like on other KVMs?

No. HDC202-X24 features ’s advanced EDID emulation technology. This ensures resolutions and window layouts stay stable, preventing screen resets or window repositioning on KVMs without EDID.

I’m worried heavy workloads may cause the KVM to overheat. Will this happen?

No. HDC202-X24 has a built-in fan with intelligent thermal control. It automatically adjusts speed based on internal temperature, with low-speed, high-speed, and off modes. This ensures stable performance without overheating.
